Distance Covered:

Left work a bit early and got down to sail around 4:30 on 6m/95l just as rain stop and some blue sky and sun appeared, lucky. Wind was dropping and had about 25 mins just about planing. Kept hooking in again on inside gybes so fell in and tiring restarting in waves. Good fun though and 2* and nice to have first go on Kombat. Thought about 7.3m/118l but would have taken off in waves and chop. Swainey came but not interested in big sail on big sea.
Was going to pack up but wind returned so back out again and wind was well powered, lovely 20-30 mins then came in as arms tired. Notice a couple of dings after wind picked up board and sail and blew down prom so stayed out of water. Lovely trying to ride some waves, and didn't fall in once! pleased with board, slow and controllable is better in Felixstowe. Also getting used to waist harness which is easier if turning and moving a lot. Mike Archer tuned up with 20 fin board, 5.3m and leg brace and seemed to be enjoying himself as I left. 4* for second session so 3* overall.
